Be The Leaf That’s Prepared To Fall 8” on MDF Round
For this one-of-a-kind Mixed Media artwork, watercolour paper comprising layers of Walnut Ink, Acrylic Paint and Pearl Inks, is mounted to MDF Round. There is visual interest in the background from the application of the media with the addition of mark making. Behind the focal of the dried oak leaf, the repeated stamping of the words “Be the leaf that’s prepared to fall”. The placement of the trio of circles, hand-cut from painted watercolour paper, creates a sense of movement, of falling downwards. The stamped words were designed by Lynne for her The Language of Trees stamp set. The words should be open to interpretation however Lynne sees this as having the courage to step forwards and although it might result in failure, it is knowing there was that courageous spirit of “having a go”.
Artwork sealed with cold wax medium.
