I Burned And Ached For Wings 6”x6” on MDF Panel
This one-of-a-kind Mixed Media artwork sees layers of acrylic paint on cotton rag paper mounted to MDF panel. The colour palette has a smoky appearance, reminiscent of a night sky with a lighter area surrounding the stamped focal of a bird. This stamp was hand carved by Lynne. Tucked beneath a piece of Mica tile, stamped words, I burned and ached for wings. On upper right side, squares of painted paper appear with central square layered with mica tile fragment and rusted washer. Around edges of artwork, marks appear in the form of stamping and painted lines.
