Thoughts 6” x 6” MDF Panel

The background to this one-of-a-kind Mixed Media artwork is rich in texture through the application of Walnut Ink, acrylic paint and hints of Interference Gold paint. The focal, a flower stamped onto painted circle was originally hand-carved by Lynne. Small, stamped circles appear beside the flower which is topped with mica tile and we see the circles continuing into the background, bringing a sense of movement, representing flower seeds scattering. A twig wrapped with eco-dyed twine, rests upon walnut ink stained found paper where the stamped words, “The garden sings”, also rest.
