From The Garden on MDF Tag size #10 – 4.2” x 8.4” (No1)

This one-of-a-kind tag features layers of papers and fabric which have either been eco-printed, eco-dyed or rusted.  The initial layer is eco-printed rice paper with subsequent layers of eco-dyed handmade paper, eco-dyed book text, eco-dyed calico with subtle rust markings, onto this is an eco-dyed shipping tag with beautiful marks achieved from the process and the top layer is an eco-print of a leaf onto watercolour paper with rusty tones from the process.  Fragments of eco-dyed handmade papers appear throughout to enhance the overall texture of this tag along with a wooden button stitched with rusty colour thread and at the top of the tag a piece of twig wrapped with twine.  

Artwork is coated with cold wax medium
