Nature Grounded Her 8” on MDF Round Wall Art

On watercolour paper, Walnut Ink and Black and Tree Bark Inks create an organic appearance to the background of this one-of-a-kind Mixed Media artwork, mounted to MDF panel. A collage stamp with woman’s face stamped onto inky cardstock and mounted to CraftyBoard circle creates dimension.  Behind this, a pressed dried leaf sprouting outwards.  Although there is a fragility when working with dried leaves, they bring such an essential natural element in the storytelling of a piece. Peering in closer, subtle script in black handwritten onto background. A tiny piece of painted cardstock with marks made with black sits alongside the stamped words, Nature grounded her, enhancing the tone of this piece.
